Long before the digital industry had a name, our two founders were already building websites from scratch — hand-coding HTML on machines that took three minutes to boot. The internet felt like the wild west, and they were among the first settlers.
While most people were still figuring out what a homepage was, they were already charging businesses to have one. That early-mover advantage never left them.
The dot-com bubble burst. Most digital agencies disappeared overnight. Alpha Level didn't. While others over-invested in hype, our founders had built their business on something more durable: actual results for actual clients.
Through the 2000s they expanded into SEO, copywriting and e-commerce — well before these became mainstream services. Clients stayed because the work worked.
With mobile changing everything and Google rewriting the rules of search every six months, the agency evolved fast. The team grew. The services deepened. Branding, content strategy, digital marketing and conversion optimisation joined the mix.
By the end of the decade Alpha Level had delivered over 200 projects across 12 industries — from local restaurants to international SaaS companies.
When large language models arrived, our founders recognised the shift immediately. They had seen this before: a technology that looked like a tool for enthusiasts but was actually going to rewire an entire industry.
