Everything you want to know about Alpha Level, our services and how we work with AI.

🤖 About AI & Claude

What is Claude and why does Alpha Level use it?

Claude is the AI model family developed by Anthropic — currently the strongest available for reasoning, long-form writing and structured analysis, with safety and steerability built in at the model level rather than bolted on later. Alpha Level uses Claude as the default reasoning engine across our service stack because it produces noticeably higher-quality content with fewer hallucinations than alternatives we have tested, handles long context windows reliably, and integrates cleanly into the senior-review workflow we wrap around every deliverable. We pick the model per task — Sonnet 4.6 for heavy reasoning and writing, Haiku 4.5 for cheaper structured-output work — and we re-evaluate the model choice quarterly as Anthropic ships new releases. No customer data is ever sent to fine-tune an Anthropic model.

Does AI-generated content sound "AI-written"?

No — and that is our guarantee. Every piece of content generated with Claude inside Alpha Level passes through a senior writer for tone calibration, factual review, brand-voice editing and structural rework before it ever reaches a client or a published URL. We use Claude for the parts where it is genuinely faster — first drafts, keyword clustering, schema generation, SERP analysis — and humans for the parts that change the outcome — voice, judgement on what to publish, factual accuracy, and the final read. The result is content that ranks like senior-written copy because it is senior-edited copy. If you can hear the AI in a draft, the brief was wrong or the editing pass was rushed; we use named tone-calibration axes (formality, sentence-length variance, idiom density, hedging) to catch that before publication.

Is my customers' data safe with an Alpha Level AI chatbot?

Yes. Every Alpha Level chatbot is built in full GDPR compliance, and the deployment architecture reflects that from day one rather than as an afterthought. All conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest, with retention windows you control. Conversation logs are never used to fine-tune or train any Anthropic model, and our standard contract makes that contractual rather than aspirational. You decide what is stored, for how long, and which fields are redacted before logging — personally identifiable information, payment details and any other field you flag never reach the storage layer. The vector knowledge base lives on infrastructure you own access to, and we publish data-flow diagrams for legal review during procurement. If your industry has additional compliance requirements (healthcare, financial services), we scope those into the architecture upfront.

Do I need an Anthropic account or any technical setup to use Alpha Level services?

No. Alpha Level handles every layer of the technical stack on our side, so what you receive is a finished product — website, chatbot, content, integration — that simply works without you needing to manage API keys, billing accounts, or developer tooling. We hold the Anthropic API account, we own the model-cost reconciliation each month, and we absorb the operational complexity of running the AI pipeline so you can focus on running the business it serves. If you ever decide you want to take a deployment in-house, every artefact is portable — knowledge base, prompts, integration code, conversation logs — and we will walk your team through transition without lock-in fees or penalty clauses. The same applies to websites, content systems and any other deliverable we ship.

🌐 Web Design & Development

Which platform does Alpha Level build websites on?

Primarily WordPress — the world's most-used content management system, with the deepest plugin ecosystem, the largest developer pool you can hire from later, and no proprietary lock-in to a single vendor's hosting platform. For e-commerce we use WooCommerce on top of WordPress when the catalogue fits, and Shopify when the operations side (POS integration, multi-currency tax, fulfilment apps) needs the dedicated platform. For high-traffic editorial sites or complex applications we sometimes propose a headless WordPress + React architecture, and for genuinely bespoke products we build custom on PHP 8.3 or Node. We recommend the platform that fits your team's update workflow, your traffic profile, and your five-year roadmap — not the platform that maximises our retainer hours. The reasoning behind any recommendation is shared transparently before kickoff.

Will my Alpha Level website be optimised for speed?

Yes — speed is a primary build target, not an afterthought patched in at QA. Every Alpha Level site ships with image optimisation (WebP and AVIF with responsive srcset, lazy loading below the fold), CDN delivery for static assets, advanced caching at the page, object and database layers, deferred non-critical JavaScript, and preconnect hints for any third-party domain in the render path. The target is a PageSpeed Insights score of ninety or above on mobile with all three Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) inside Google's "good" thresholds, and we hold builds to those numbers before launch. Speed matters for conversions — every 100ms of LCP improvement is worth roughly one percent of revenue in our portfolio — and for SEO rankings, where Core Web Vitals is a confirmed Google ranking factor.

Can I manage the website myself after Alpha Level launches it?

Yes — ownership transfer is part of every Alpha Level build, not an upsell. Inside WordPress you can edit any content block, add new pages, publish blog posts, swap images, change navigation, and manage forms through the standard block editor without ever needing to touch code. We document custom blocks and the content workflow in a written handover, and for Business and Enterprise packages we include a live training session (recorded for future team members) covering the editor, the SEO panel, the page-builder patterns, and the recovery process if something goes wrong. If you would rather not manage updates yourself, our monthly Maintenance plans cover WordPress core, plugin and theme updates, security monitoring and small content edits — but the choice is yours, and switching between self-management and a Maintenance plan is reversible at any time.

📈 SEO & Content

How long does it take to see SEO results from Alpha Level?

Alpha Level targets first technical improvements within four to six weeks of programme kickoff — that is when fixes to indexability, schema, page speed and on-page elements start producing visible movement in Search Console impressions. Significant organic results — measurable ranking gains on priority keywords and a step-change in qualified organic traffic — typically arrive between month three and month six, with the curve continuing to compound through months six to twelve as content and links accumulate. SEO is a long-term investment, but our AI-powered workflow shortens the timeline considerably by letting us produce four well-edited long-form articles per month instead of one or two, and by accelerating the technical work that would otherwise eat the first quarter. Competitive niches and previously penalised domains can extend the ramp; we share an honest baseline at kickoff and a monthly delta thereafter.

Will AI-generated content penalise my website on Google?

No — provided the content is genuinely useful. Google's spam policies and the September 2025 Quality Rater Guidelines penalise low-quality, scaled or spammy content regardless of how it was produced; they do not penalise AI assistance itself. The dividing line is human oversight and value delivered to the reader, both of which Alpha Level builds into every workflow. Every article we ship is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a senior writer before publication, follows Google's E-E-A-T framework (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust) at the structural level, cites sources where claims warrant it, and is written to answer a real search query rather than to hit a word count. Pure unedited AI output ranks badly because it reads badly — but AI-accelerated, human-edited content ranks exactly as well as fully-human content while shipping at three to four times the velocity.

💳 Pricing & Contracts

Is there a contract to sign with Alpha Level?

Yes — every Alpha Level engagement runs under a clear, plain-language contract that specifies the deliverables, the timeline with each milestone date, the payment schedule, the acceptance criteria for sign-off, and the cancellation terms. There are no hidden clauses, no auto-renewal traps, no surprise scope-creep invoices and no commit-then-quote tactics. The contract is shared during discovery so legal teams have time for review before kickoff, and we are happy to walk through any clause your procurement team flags. For monthly retainers (SEO, Maintenance, Chat AI tuning) the contract is cancel-anytime with thirty days notice rather than annual lock-in, because we want clients who stay because the work is delivering — not clients who stay because they are trapped. The single contract format applies across every service line for consistency.

What if I'm not happy with the result Alpha Level delivers?

Alpha Level works iteratively, with revision rounds included in every fixed-price package — typically two for design milestones and one for content milestones, scoped so the included revisions cover normal back-and-forth rather than partial. If after the included revisions the delivered result still does not meet the acceptance criteria written into your contract, we keep working at no additional cost until it does. The criteria are agreed upfront in discovery so "happy" is a specific measurable thing rather than a moving target, and we share progress weekly so misalignment surfaces early when it is cheap to fix rather than at final delivery when it is expensive. For retainer engagements (SEO, Maintenance, Chat AI), monthly KPIs are agreed upfront and the retainer is cancel-anytime with thirty days notice if outcomes are not landing.

Does Alpha Level offer monthly maintenance plans?

Yes. Alpha Level offers three Maintenance tiers — Starter, Business and Enterprise — covering WordPress core updates, theme and plugin updates with regression testing, daily off-site backups with one-click restore, uptime and security monitoring with 24/7 alerts, malware scanning and incident response, small content edits inside a monthly hour budget, and a quarterly health report covering Core Web Vitals, security posture and indexation status. The Enterprise tier adds priority support response, larger content edit allowances, and a dedicated account contact. Maintenance is cancel-anytime with thirty days notice and is reversible — you can self-manage, move to a Maintenance plan, or move back as your team's capacity changes. Every Maintenance ticket is logged with timestamp and outcome so you always see exactly what was done in your name. Explore our maintenance plans →

Does Alpha Level accept instalment payments?

Yes. For Build packages priced above one thousand euros (Build Business, Build Enterprise) and for E-Commerce builds, Alpha Level accepts payment in two instalments — fifty percent on contract signature to lock the project slot and start discovery, and fifty percent on final delivery and client sign-off. Larger Enterprise engagements can be split across three or four milestone-tied instalments if the project scope justifies it; the schedule is agreed in the contract before kickoff so cashflow planning is predictable on both sides. For monthly retainers (SEO, Maintenance, Chat AI), billing is monthly in advance via Paysera with no setup fee, which is effectively a twelve-instalment plan across the year and a single instalment for the typical thirty-day cancel-anytime window. Payment is in euros; VAT is invoiced separately where applicable to your jurisdiction.
